Air travel is one of those things that you either love or you hate. Regardless of whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, we all want to have the best experience possible. What can you do to have a little less turbulence as you prepare for your flight? We encourage travelers to visit the FAA to learn about security wait times, delays and baggage info. For more information on air travel in the 21st century, flying with children, pets or flying with disabilities, please visit our blog.
Effective May 7, 2025, passengers will need a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, state issued enhanced driver's license, or another form of identification (i.e. passport) to board a domestic flight. This will be enforced by Department of Homeland Security and TSA. For more information on traveling with a REAL ID, please visit the TSA website and/or the DHS website. If you have further questions, please contact me directly.
Frantastic Trips and Travel LLC strongly recommends getting a passport for domestic and international travel, whether it is by air, land or sea. If you need to secure a passport, please visit the U.S. Department of State to complete the application for your passport. If you need assistance, you can contact your travel agent directly. Air travel has taken trekking this big, beautiful Earth to new heights. With all the anticipation and excitement of traveling internationally, one may get distracted from the necessary preparation required for international travel. While I will do my very best to do the heavy lifting in this department, there are some things you can do to be better prepared for your traveling internationally. For suggestions, please visit the website for the U.S Customs and Border Patrol.
There is absolutely nothing like traveling abroad and absorbing this beautiful Earth of ours. I love travel so much I have made it a big part of my life. But at Frantastic Trips and Travel, safety is of utmost importance. I want you to enjoy every aspect of your itinerary from the minute you leave home to when you return with memories and souvenirs big and small. To do your part in making sure you are traveling safely, please visit the U.S. Department of State for the latest in traveling abroad safely.
Travel is fun and my hope is that all of my clients have an amazing time on all of their vacations. Unfortunately unexpected events occur and at times travel alerts and warnings are issued to inform citizens and travelers about potential risks and dangers in specific countries or regions. These alerts can range from natural disasters and civil unrest to health risks and security threats. We feel it is crucial for travelers to pay attention to these alerts before and during their trips to ensure their safety and well-being. Please check the U.S. Department of State for the latest travel advisories and warnings.
Nothing ruins your day faster than getting sick on vacation. When traveling, it's essential to consider your health and well-being to ensure a safe and enjoyable trip. While Frantastic Trips and Travel does not advocate or endorse any particular course of treatment, we would be remiss to not address this issue. We are listing the Centers for Disease Control merely as one of the many sources we encourage you to research when assessing how you can stay safe and healthy on your vacation.
Now comes the fun part! After weeks or even months of planning, you get to pack! When it comes to packing for travel, this is the time to be organized. Proper organization goes a long way in making your trip as smooth as possible. Start by making a list of items you'll need based on the destination, weather, and activities planned. Please visit my blog for a more thorough discussion of how to pack for all types of travel. Happy Packing!
For those who like to stay organized and benefit from a packing list, there are a number of videos and articles you can research for information on how to pack for your specific destination. If you would like a link, shoot me a text!
